Group D Mozambique will encounter Malawi at the Stade de l’Amitie in Benin this Tuesday November 12th in their last FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying fixture with the both sides already eliminated. Mozambique are currently at the foot of the table without a win so far, while Malawi could confirm third place if they avoid defeat and have just one win.
Mozambique suffered a 3-0 loss against Group D leaders Ivory Coast on Sunday. Without a win in Group D so far, Mozambique have lost all but one of their encounters in the group and the only point came from the opening match against Ivory Coast.

This campaign represents the most matches played by the South-East African nation in World Cup qualifying since South Africa 2010 and will be featuring in the African Cup of nations in January. Both teams will be looking to conclude their campaigns on a high note.
