Hearts will be looking to return to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership when they travel to Fir Park to take on Motherwell in their Matchday Eight tie on Sunday.
Motherwell have made an inconsistent campaign so far in the Premiership this season as they have won three, drawn one and lost two of their opening six matches. They currently rank fifth in the league standings, jointly on 10 points with Aberdeen and Hearts who are above them on goal-difference.
The Steelmen recorded a 0-0 draw at home against Dundee United last time out in the Premiership, which extended their winless run to two matches in the top flight. They had previously fallen to a 2-1 away defeat to Kilmarnock, but they have a 4-0 home win over Inverness CT in the League Cup sandwiched between the two matches.
They will be looking to bounce back in the Premiership on Sunday, and having won all their last three league matches against Hearts at home, they should fancy their chances.
Hearts have also had a difficult campaign so far this season having won just four of their 11 matches across all competitions, while suffering six defeats and drawing just once in the process.
They are however, coming off a confidence-boosting 2-0 away win over Rigas Futbola in their second group fixture of the Europa Conference League last Thursday. The win saw them bounce back from three consecutive defeats in different competitions against, Kilmarnock (0-1) in League Cup, Livingston (1-0) in Premiership and Basaksehir (4-0) in the Conference League.
They will now be desperate to build on their midweek victory as they seek their fourth league win this season. They currently sit fourth in the Premiership standings level on points with their hosts and will want to go ahead with maximum points on Sunday.
