Morocco will be looking finish the second qualifying round with maximum points in Group I of the CAF World Cup qualifiers when they welcome Guinea to the Stade Mohammed V on Tuesday night with kickoff at 22:00.
Both sides have made contrasting qualifying campaigns with Morocco claiming five wins in their five matches so far and currently occupy the top spot on 15 points while, Guinea have not claimed any win in their five matches picking up four draws and one defeat to collect 4 points that have them occupying the third spot on four points.
Morocco will enter the match having already secured a passage to the next qualifying round with a 10-point lead in Group I and will be aiming at maintain their 100% in the group stage. They are coming off a 3-0 win against Sudan at away in their last group fixture on Thursday with Ryan Mmaee netting a brace and Imran Louza also got in on the act in the 93rd minute.
The hosts head into the match in good form having won all their last seven matches across all competitions, while they are unbeaten since 2019 when then they fell 3-2 to Gabon and this should be a routine win for the formidable Morocco.
Meanwhile Guinea will enter the match having already been eliminated but will be looking for their first group win as they aim at bowing out in a style. They head into the match on the back of a 0-0 draw with Guinea-Bissau in their last qualifying fixture. Prior to the draw is the 4-1 thumping by their Tuesday’s hosts hence Kaba Diawara’s side will be in for a revenge.
