Montenegro will host Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Podgorica City Stadium in their third Group B3 fixture of the UEFA Nations League on Saturday night.
Montenegro suffered a 2-0 defeat at away to Finland last Tuesday in their second Group B3 fixture. Prior to that, they kicked off their Nations League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Romania last Saturday.
They now sit third in the group standings with a point behind both Finland and Bosnia & Herzegovina in first and second spots respectively. A win on Saturday therefore could see them go on top of the group and having gone unbeaten at home in their last four games including two victories, Montenegro could just fancy their chances.
But they will need to be absolutely at their best as they meet with Bosnia & Herzegovina, who are also seeking to go on top of Group B3. The visitors opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw with group leaders Finland, before claiming a 1-0 win over Romania on Tuesday.
They have now gone three games unbeaten, claiming two victories and a draw in the run and they will be looking to extend the run as they seek to overtake Finland to the top spot in the group. however with Finland playing with group underdogs Romania, Bosnia & Herzegovina will need to do their job and edge Montenegro and hope that Finland somehow slip in their clash.
Nonetheless, this will be a close encounter that could end in a share of the spoils just as the last two meetings between the two sides.
