West Ham will welcome Wolves to London Stadium for their Premier League Matchday Nine tie on Saturday night. There is no getting away from the fact that it has been a disappointing start to the season for the Hammers, who have struggled to hit the same heights they have hit before in the recent past seasons. West Ham have only won one game in seven league matches this season, drawing once and losing five times in the run. They suffered a 1-0 defeat at Everton last time out, making it back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, but sandwiched between the two defeats are Europa Conference League wins over FCSB and Silkeborg. They will therefore hope to bring some of the European form to the Premier League as they look to turn around their fortunes and climb out of the relegation zone. Meanwhile Wolvers have made a stuttering start to the season, having collected just six points from their first seven fixtures, a tally that sees them currently occupy 17th position in the table. They sit just two points above West Ham and they also need to turn around their fortunes to climb away from the danger zone. Bruno Lage's side were easily swept aside 3-0 by Manchester City last time out, but a trip to out-of-sorts West Ham should represent a less daunting assignment this weekend and they will hope to bounce back on Saturday.
