However, United have since changed and look a different side, they are even whispered to be potential unlikely title challengers. A win this derby will surely be a statement, as it would take them only a point behind City and six off the leaders Arsenal, who are away at Tottenham this weekend. City have oddly been inconsistent this season, but they remain five points behind Arsenal and this derby will be a real test for the champions. They were stunned against Southampton in the Carabao Cup midweek and manager Pep Guardiola probably regretted not starting big hitters Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne.
