Arsenal will look to stay top of the Premier League table when they travel across town for a mouth-watering London derby against Chelsea on Sunday. Arsenal have already dispatched the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham on their way to the top of the Premier League table, but both of those wins came at the Emirates. Their only away fixture against the traditional top six, ended in a 3-1 defeat at Man United, although they were arguably the better side in that fixture. The Gunners slapped Nottingham Forest 5-0 at home last time out to bounce back from their 1-1 draw at Southampton. They are now unbeaten in their last six league matches and will be looking to extend that run on Sunday. Mikel Arteta’s side picked up a 1-0 win over Zurich on Thursday in the Europa League to finish top of the Group A. They have been able to integrate well their European endeavors and the Premier League and will want to maintain the momentum. They won 4-2 last time they visited Stamford Bridge and will hope for the same on Sunday Chelsea, meanwhile, have been inconsistent this season and they slumped to a shocking 4-1 defeat at Brighton last time out in the Premier League. They have now failed to win their last three league matches, which has left them sitting sixth 10 points behind the Gunners. They did manage to bounce back with a 2-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League in the midweek. They have now gone unbeaten in their last 12 home games across all competitions, winning three and drawing two of their five in the Premier League this season. They will look to draw confidence from as they seek to provide Arsenal with a stern test on Sunday. They also need to win to get themselves back into the top four mix.
