Everton will be looking for their first Premier League win this season when they visit the Community Stadium to take on Brentford in their Matchday four tie on Saturday. Brentford have had a mixed bag of results in their opening three matches, as they have won one, drawn one and lost one in the run. However, the manner of their win that came on the second day caused the sensation of the season at this early stage as they destroyed a shell-shocked Manchester United 4-0 at home. The Bees however, bitterly, failed to build on the impressive showing as they fell to 3-2 defeat to newly-promoted Fulham last weekend. They managed to bounce back in the midweek though, as they claimed a 2-0 away win over Colchester in a League Cup tie. They will look to follow that up with a victory in the Premier league this weekend as a struggling Everton come to town. Brentford completed a double over the Toffees last season, winning 1-0 at home and 3-2 at away, and they will hope for the same this season. Everton have made a poor start to the new Premier league campaign, failing to win of their opening three matches while managing just one point in that period. They opened with back to back defeats to Chelsea (0-1) and Aston Villa (2-1) before holding newly-promoted Nottingham Forest to a 1-1 draw at home last weekend. Everton had a difficult time in the league last season battling for their survival for most of the campaign and they will be looking to avoid a similar situation this season. However, they need to turn around their fortunes as soon as possible if they are going to avoid escaping relegation with just in the final two or three matches of the campaign. They claimed their first victory of the season in the midweek as they beat Fleetwood 1-0 at away in the League Cup and they will be hoping to build on the win. But they will need to turn-up with a more convincing performance here.
