Bournemouth will welcome Brentford to Vitality Stadium in their Premier League Matchday Nine tie on Saturday evening. Bournemouth recorded a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United last time out in the Premier League, extending their unbeaten run to three matches now on the bounce. They drew 0-0 with Wolves and beat fellow newly-promoted Nottingham Forest 3-2 in the run under interim head coach Garry O’Neil, who took over Scott Parker after the 9-0 humbling by Liverpool. O’Neil will be hoping that his side can maintain their new found momentum as they look to break into the top half of the table with a positive result on Saturday. Bournemouth currently sit 12th, level on eight points with Newcastle United and Leeds United in 10th and 11th respectively, while they are just one point behind eighth-placed Liverpool. The Cherries have however failed to score in their last two home Premier League matches and will need to raise their game especially in the final third on Saturday. They have never gone goalless at home in three consecutive Premier League matches though, and will be confident on Saturday as they have scored in eight of their last 10 meetings against the Bees. Meanwhile Brentford suffered a 3-0 home defeat to league leaders Arsenal after the international break, ending their four-match unbeaten run across all competitions. The Bees had claimed seven points from a possible nine available on home soil prior to the visit of the Gunners, including a 5-2 victory against Leeds United. Nevertheless, Brentford remain in the top half of the Premier League table, level on points with Liverpool in eighth and just four points behind fourth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion, who they face in a couple of weeks' time. Thomas Frank’s side therefore will be looking to bounce back on Saturday as they hope to continue sitting in the top half of the table at the moment.
