Manchester City will hope to get on top of the Premier League when they travel to Villa Park to take on a struggling Aston Villa on Saturday. Aston Villa have made a difficult start to the new Premier League campaign with the side wining just once in their opening five matches, while losing all the other four matches in the process. They are coming of a 2-1 defeat at the Emirates in their midweek league fixture. While losing to Arsenal at away was certainly no disgrace, Steven Gerrard desperately needs results. And only the most optimistic Villian will expect them to stop the City juggernaut. The reigning champions, Manchester City, are in brilliant form having gone unbeaten in their opening five matches and are coming off a rampant 6-0 win over newly-promoted Nottingham Forest. City now sit second in the league standings with two points behind Arsenal and they will look to go top on Saturday, at least until the Gunners play on Sunday. They have not lost to Villa in their last 13 encounters across all competitions, winning 12 times and drawing just once. They should therefore fancy their chances on Saturday.
