The Champions League quarter-finals are getting heated with the finals near the horizon. This will see side Manchester City take on Lyon this Weekend. The match schedules Saturday with the venue in Lisbon, kickoff at 10 pm.
Manchester City managed to move into the last eight after edging out Real Madrid with a 4-2 aggregate. Lyon managed to edge off side Juventus with a 2-2 aggregate with most away goals pushing the side to quarterfinals.
Pep Guardiola is trying to make up for an unimpressive run in the Premier League that saw the side surrender the title to side Liverpool. The side is currently the only Premier League team at this level of competition.
The Citizens are focused on clinching the title for the first time under Pep. However, Lyon poses a lot of threat given the side’s tenacity at this stage of the competition. A penalty converted on the spot by Memphis Depay was all needed to book a ticket to Lisbon for the side.
The side is one of the two teams in Ligue One, making it to this last stage of the Champions League. This marks the side’s first appearance in the quarter-finals since 2009-10. The side has only progressed in one of four times at this stage of the competition.
