San Marino will be looking for their first win in the on-going UEFA Nations League campaign when they visit the Ta’ Qali National Stadium to take on Malta in their Group D2 third round tie on Sunday night.
Malta opened their UEFA Nations League campaign positively with a 2-0 victory over San Marino at away last Sunday. They however denied a second consecutive win as they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to group leaders Estonia.

They head into the clash on a two-match winning streak against the visitors and will be looking to keep the juggernaut rolling.
Meanwhile San Marino currently sit at the bottom of Group 2 of League D on zero points having lost their opening two games. They opened with the 2-0 defeat to the group leaders Estonia, before suffering the 2-0 defeat to their Sunday hosts Malta.
They followed the result with a 1-0 defeat to Iceland in an international friendly tie last Thursday. they have now suffered 17 defeats in a row across all competitions and will need a miracle to end the poor run.
