Angola will be looking will be looking for a second victory in Group E of the AFCON Qualifiers when they travel to Mahamasina Municipal Stadium to take Madagascar in their second group clash on Sunday.
Madagascar who missed out in the last Africa Cup of Nations edition will be looking to qualify for the competitions for a second time in their history this time around. However, they will do that on the back foot having opened with a 3-0 defeat to Group E’s favorites Ghana.
The Barea now sit at the bottom of the group on zero points, and they need to get their campaign off in this match to stand a chance of challenging for the two top spot. They are in a worrying form though having won just one of their last 12 games across all competitions, and will need to be at the top of their game to get something in this match.
Angola meanwhile will be looking to extend their positive start to the qualifying campaign with another victory on Sunday. Angola claimed a 2-1 victory over Central Africa Republic in their opening fixture last Wednesday.
They now sit second, level on points with the group leaders Ghana and will be looking to continue their winning ways on Sunday to keep the pressure on the group’s favorite. Angola though are favorite to finish second and a win on Sunday will surely confirm that.
