Anfield will host Premier League’s second matchday early kickoff between Liverpool and Burnley on Saturday with kickoff at 14:30.

Liverpool opened their 2021-22 Premier League campaign with a well deserved 3-0 win against a newly promoted Norwich City at Carrow Road with Jurgen Klopp’s side aiming to pick up where they left off having finished strongly last season. The Egyptian was brilliant at Carrow Road setting two goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino before curling in a delightful effort to seal the three points for the Reds.

Liverpool will head into the match in a good form in the Premier League as the win at Norwich stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games and extended their winning streak to six matches keeping clean sheets in the last three.

The Reds are the favorites in the Saturday’s early kickoff having won four of their last seven home meetings against Burnley who have claimed one win while there have been two draws. The goal difference is 14-6 in favor of Liverpool. However, second half goals from Neal Maupay and Alexis Mac Allister saw Brighton condemn Burnley to their fourth Premier League defeat in a row stretching back to last season.

Burnley are now at risk of losing five consecutive Premier League games for the first time ever as they face a determined Liverpool. Burnley head into match in poor form as they have only managed to win only two of their last six matches across all competitions.
