Doncaster Rovers will travel to Sincil Bank to face Lincoln City on Tuesday, as they will look to climb off the bottom of the League One table.

The hosts are currently sitting five points clear of the drop zone, while Doncaster sit nine points adrift of safety.

Lincoln City had a tough first half of the new season following their failure to clinch promotion to the Championship in the playoffs last season, and they now sit in danger of relegation with 22 points from their opening 22 League One matches.

However, they have recently seemed to be getting back on track, winning four of their eight games since the turn of the year, picking up 13 points in the process.

After victories over Oxford United, Snderland and Plymouth Argyle in January, Lincoln’s most recent win came last Tuesday, as Morgan Whittaker and Cohen Bramall scored to make it a 2-1 victory over Morecambe at home.

The Imps managed to earn an impressive draw against Wycombe Wanderers, although with a feeling of disappointment as the Chairboys pegged them back in the final five minutes.

Doncaster have a far less enviable standing in the fight for survival, as they sit at the bottom of the division with just 22 points from their 32 matches this season, picking up just six victories in the process.

They have gone through a tough run between November and january, losing 10 out of 11 league games, before victories over MK Dons and Sunderland either side of two more defeats provided somewhat of a lift in the camp.

Following their struggles over the course of the entire season, it is no surprise that Doncaster find themselves at the foot of the division, although a victory could see them leapfrog Crewe Alexandra, who only lead them on goal difference.
