The Premier League continues this weekend with an another important fixture as Leicester City host Brighton at the King Power in a mid-table clash on Sunday evening with kickoff at 17:00.
Leicester City have struggled this season with club failing to launch a top-four challenge so far despite being among the favorites to finish in the top four before the season started. They currently sit in 10th on 25 points collected from 19 matches, some 12 points below West Ham who occupy the fourth.
They head into the dispirited after the outcome of their previous top-flight fixture that saw them fall to Tottenham. The Foxes appeared to be on the right track to collect maximum points in the clash as they were leading 2-1 before the 94th minute where they hit a self-destruct button shipping in two goals in the 95th and 97th minutes to collapse to 3-2 defeat at King Power on day.
The defeat marked their third in the last five Premier League matches and will need to bounce back to winning ways as they are only three points above the 15th-placed Leeds United meaning that another slip up this weekend could leave them as low as 15th.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will therefore be looking bounce back here and he will be hoping that his side can build on their home form having won in three of their last four home matches, beating Watford, Newcastle and Liverpool.
Meanwhile Brighton have proved to be a tough nut to crack this season, with club suffering only four defeats from their 21 league matches so far this season. They have as well been draw kings in the division as they have collect 11 draws, which are two more than other side and have picked up six wins in the campaign.
As things stand the Seagulls are ninth in the table with 29 points on board to their name, seven points outside the European places and Graham Potter will want his side to get close to the European berth.
They head into the match in high spirts as they are coming off an impressive and crucial 1-1 draw against Chelsea who seems to have faded away from the title race. Adam Webster canceled out Hakim Ziyech’s first-half goal at the Armex to earn his side the important point and extend his side’s unbeaten run to five matches in the Premier League.
The last time they faced Leicester, Potters men emerged triumphant by a 2-1 score line and he will hoping that they can replicate the result as they aim at staying close to the top six. But that won’t be easy as they have actually not defeat Leicester at King Power in their last six visits and lost 4-2 on their previous visit in the EFL Cup.
