Leeds will be still in search of their first 2021-22 Premier League win when they lock horns with Watford in the seventh league round at Elland Road on Saturday with kickoff at 17:00.
Leeds were impressive upon their return to the Premier League last year as they ended the season in the ninth spot with 59 points, which is really impressive for a newly-promoted side. However, there is no denying the fact it has been a difficult start to this campaign for the Whites who currently are in the relegation zone.
Leeds find themselves in situation since they are yet to pick-up a win this season recording three draws and three defeats in their opening six matches leaving them in the 18th spot with three points. The problem with Marcelo Bielsa’s side appears to be at the back as they have conceded 14 goals which is the second-most in the division alongside Newcastle as well as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven league matches stretching back to last season.
Bielsa’s side head into the match in an average form having won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six matches across all competition and are coming off a 2-1 home defeat to West Ham, where Leeds gave away their 1-0 lead conceding their second home defeat so far this season. Therefore, Leads will enter the match desperate for the three points which I think its achievable this time around.
Meanwhile, Watford made an impressive start to the life back in the Premier League as they have recorded two wins, drawn one and lost three of their last six league matches to collect seven points that has left them in the 12th spot in the standings.
The Hornets head into the match off the back of a 1-1 draw against Newcastle last weekend and will enter the match looking for the three points as the match is as important to Watford just as is to Leeds. Watford will face Liverpool and Everton in the next Premier League fixtures and therefore, they need a positive result in this match to boost their confidence ahead of the tough matches.
