Lazio will be looking to bounce back in Serie A when they welcome Hellas Verona to Stadio Olimpico for their Matchday six tie on Sunday.
Lazio have made an inconsistent campaign this season with the capital club picking up two wins, two draws and one defeat in the five matches. As result they sit ninth in the league standings on eight points, two points off the European spots.
They are coming off a 2-1 home defeat to Napoli in their previous league encounter, with Min-Jae Kim and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sealing the deal for Gli Azzurri, while Mattia Zaccagni’s effort was only enough for a consolation for Lazio.
Prior to that Lazio were coming off a 1-1 draw with Sampdoria and they will now be keen to get their campaign back on track on Sunday. They beat Feyernoord 4-2 at home in their Europa League opener on Thursday and they will be looking to build on it in Sunday.
Hellas Verona meanwhile have also not been at their best this season with the side picking up five points from their opening five matches, and currently sit 13th just a point outside the top half.
They seem to be turning their fortunes around though as they have drawn and won their last two league matches, drawing 1-1 at Empoli first before beating Sampdoria 2-1 at home last time out. They will therefore be keen to keep the momentum going on Sunday, but they face a tough opponent, Lazio, at away and will need to bring more than their top game to come away with something from the tie.
