Lahti and JaPS will both be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they face off at the Lahti Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Suomen Cup on Tuesday evening with kickoff at 18:30.
Lahti beat Atlantis 4-2 in the previous round of the Cup at home on 14th this month to book a place the quarter-finals. The victory saw them claim their second victory in three matches across all competitions, although they have failed to build on it in Finnish top-flight.
Since the victory, Lahti have recorded back-to-back defeats in the Veikkausliiga, suffering a 3-2 away loss to Ilves before falling 5-1 to Inter Turku at away. Coming back home Lahti will be looking to bounce back as they seek to use the Tuesday’s Cup match to boost their confidence ahead of their next league endeavor.
Meanwhile JaPS of the Finnish second tie managed to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Suomen Cup after seeing out a top-flight outfit Oulu 2-1 on 14th this month.
They will be looking to cause another upset to a Veikkausliiga side, Lahti, on Tuesday as they look to extend their impressive run in the Cup.
However, they will need to be at their best, having slumped in their last two Ykkonen games, where they picked up 2-2 draw at PK-35 Helsinki and a 4-1 home defeat to Mikkelin.
