Newly-promoted Kilmarnock will be looking for their first win of back In the Premiership when they welcome Motherwell to Rugby Park for their Matchday five tie on Saturday.
Kilmarnock have found life difficult in the Premiership as they have failed to win any of their opening four matches, picking up a 1-1 draw against Dundee United on the first day before falling to Rangers (2-0), Celtic (0-5) and Ross County (1-0) in their following matches.
They now sit at the bottom of the league table with a point and they have much to do if there are going to avoid an immediate return to the Championship. They need to turn around their fortunes as soon as possible, but picking up maximum points against Motherwell could prove challenging as they have lost four of their last six league to the Steelmen.
Motherwell have made a strong start to the new campaign winning three of their opening four matches, and they currently sit third in the league standing on nine points, one point behind Rangers in second and three behind the pace-setters Celtic at the top.
The Steelmen finished in the top half last season and they will be looking for the same this season and thus they will be looking to extend their impressive start as they seek to lay a strong foundation for their top six finish target.
They are coming off back-to-back victories over Aberdeen (3-2) at away and Livingston (1-0) at home, and they will be keen to keep the momentum going on Saturday.
