Juventus start the 2020-21 Serie A in action this weekend, where they play host to side Sampdoria. The match schedules for Sunday at the Allianz Arena with kickoff at 9:45 pm.
The Old Lady currently won nine consecutive Serie A championships in the last nine years. The side managed to lift the trophy with only one point ahead of their runners up Inter Milan. Their opponents, Sampdoria, finished off the last season 15th on the table. It was an awful season with the side losing half of their total games.
After falling off the semi-finals of the Champions League courtesy of Lyon, the onus was on the board to call it quits with Maurizio Sarri. A week later, the Old Lady appointed former Juventus legend Andre Pirlo as the new coach.
It will mark the first managerial role of Andre Pirlo for the Champs after starting as a coach for the youth side. Despite the short grip on the club, Pirlo made a strong stance on the changes he wants at the club. The side recently released Matuidi to join Inter Miami on a free transfer. It followed with the termination of the contract for Higuain, who followed suit to Inter Miami.
Edin Dzeko and Luis Suarez are strong linked with moves to the Old Lady to lead the attacking line. Juventus finished off the season quite unimpressively, with several losses tainting the managerial role of Sarri into question.
