Juventus vs AC Milan Match Analysis and Prediction

Still in search of their first Serie A win of the new season, Juventus welcome AC Milan to the Allianz Stadium in Turin for their fourth league round this Sunday with kickoff at 21:45.

Both sides have made very contrasting starts to the 2021-22 Serie A campaigns and continental football as well, with Juventus making a torrid start to their domestic campaign as they haven’t registered a win in their in their opening three matches with only one draw and two back to back defeats matching their 2015-16 record.

The Turin giants opened with a 2-2 draw to Udinese before losing 1-0 at home to the newly-promoted Empoli which then was followed with the 2-1 defeat at Napoli which left them in the 16th spot with only one point in the Serie A standings.

However, the Old Lady got some respite from their domestic problems as they claimed a 3-0 victory in Sweden against Malmo in their Champions League group stage opener last Tuesday with all the three goals coming in the first half through Alex Sandro, Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata.

Juventus displayed their attacking quality in their morale boosting Champions League opener but despite keeping the clean sheet Max Allegri’s side have displayed weaknesses at the back in Serie A as their have conceded at least one goal in their last 17 league matches and have failed to keep a clean sheet this season conceding five goals in three matches.

Meanwhile AC Milan have made a flying start in Serie A as they have won all their three opening three matches which is a tremendous improvement for the Stefano Pioli’s men who sit in the second position with nine points in the league standings but with a win today Milan will be table toppers.

They opened with a 1-0 win in Sampdoria before smashing Cagliari 4-1 which was then followed the 2-0 win against Lazio at San Siro last weekend with Leao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic getting the goals.

However, Milan stumbled on their return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence as they were beaten 3-2 at Anfield despite taking a 2-1 lead at halftime. Although, despite the results from their Champions League opener Pioli and his men believe that they are on the track towards sustained success after a period in the doldrums for the Milano giants.
