England will be looking for their first win in League A group 3 of the Nations League when they travel to San Siro to take on Italy in their round five tie on Friday night.
It will be a repeat of the 2020 European Champions Final on Friday and will still be tough call to predict correctly the outcome of this fixture. Both sides have struggled in the Nations League campaign with Italy winning just once in their four matches, while England have failed to win none of the games in group 3 of League A.
The Azzurri sit third on five points two points of the summit, while the Three Lions sit at the bottom of the group on two points and are in danger of getting relegated to League B.
Therefore both sides will be fighting for all three points with Italy hoping to climb on top of the group, although that will depend on results elsewhere, while England will want to pick their first maximum points on Friday as they seek to increase their chances of remaining in League A.
With the last two encounters between the sides ending in a stalemate after 90 minutes, a wager on the same result on Friday could well pay off. However, fans will be hoping that unlike the last meeting, there will be some goals at the San Siro with both teams expected to field an attacking line-up.
Italy vs England head to head
