Hull City will host Wigan Athletic at the MKM Stadium on Wednesday in Championship action, with the home side hoping to end their five-game losing streak with kickoff at 9:45 pm.
To save Hull City from relegation, the club parted with manager Shota Arveladze two hours before their game on Friday and appointed Andy Dawson as interim boss.
But the new man in charge could not halt the losing run The Tigers were on, falling to a 2-0 defeat.
It’s not just the defeats that will be a concern for Dawson but their manner; his side has the unwanted record of the worst defence in the division, conceding 23 goals in total.
In recent times, The Tigers have also started struggling at the other end of the pitch, failing to score in their last four league outings and only registering one shot on target in their last two league games, with none against Luton Town.
Wigan, promoted to the Premier League earlier this season, head into Wednesday’s match as the underdogs against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The former is currently in 10th place and just two points off the playoff places, while the latter sit in 12th with a five-point cushion between them and the relegation zone.
