Third-placed Honka will welcome high-flying and Veikkausliiga leaders KuPS to Tapiolan Urheilupuisto for their Matchday 10 tie on Saturday afternoon.
Despite struggling for form before the international break, Honka have made a good Veikkausliiga campaign with the side, claiming five victories, two draws and two defeats from their nine league matches.
They currently sit third in the Finland top-flight table on 17 points, nine points behind both KuPS and HJK in the first and second spots respectively, although they have both played at least one match more than Honka.
Vesa Vasara’s side did well to claim a 2-1 victory over HIFK before the international break and will be looking to make it back-to-back victory as they aim to melt KuPS advantage in the Veikkausliiga standings.
Meanwhile KuPS have made a strong in the 2022 Veikkausliiga campaign with the side still remaining unbeaten in their 10 games, picking eight victories and two draws in the run. They are currently the league leaders, but sit level on 26 points with second-placed HJK who have played one more match.
Therefore, they will be looking three points in the clear with a positive result on Saturday, and having gone unbeaten in their last 12 games across all competitions with 10 victories in the run, KuPS should fancy their chances.
