Honduras will be looking for their first win in the final round of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers when they welcome El Salvador to Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano for their 10th match on Monday morning with kickoff at 03:05.
Both sides have made minimal campaigns in the final round of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers and their chances of making to the finals letter in the year are as good as over. Honduras are still yet to record a win in their nine matches, picking up just three draws, while suffering six defeats in the run.
They currently sit at the bottom of table with only three points on board in their name, they are 11 points behind the fourth placed Panama and with only five matches remaining, means that Honduras need to win all the remaining matches while hoping that their rivals drop points to stand a chance of finishing in the playoff spot.

Meanwhile El Salvador have only claimed one win from their nine qualifying matches, picking up three draws while suffering five defeats in the process. They currently sit in the seventh place just a place above their hosts with six points on board in their name.
They are eight points off the playoff spot and they will need to start picking up points if they are to stand a chance of getting close to the top four.
El Salvador also head into the match in a poor form having won none of their last eight matches in both competitive and noncompetitive fixtures, picking up just two draws while suffering six defeats in the run. They are coming off a 1-0 defeat to USA in their previous qualifying fixture and will want to bounce back here against a much worse Honduras.
