Hibernian will be looking to build on their last weekend’s victory when they welcome Ross County to Easter Road for the Scottish Premiership matchday 27 on Saturday evening with kickoff at 18:00.
Hibernian have endured a difficult 2022 with the club displaying inconsistent performances that have led to lack of results costing Jack Ross his job as the manager. They are winless in their last six Premiership matches with their only two wins this year coming in the Scottish Cup. As a result Hibs have dropped to the seventh spot in the league standings with a point outside the top-half.
The Scottish Cup has indeed provided a positive escape for Shaun Richard Maloney’s side and they extended their life in the cup last weekend as they came from behind to edge Arbroath 3-1 with Demetri Mitchell, kevin Nisbet and Chris Mueller seeing the Hibees into the next round.
The win ended a five-match winless run in Premiership and thus Hibs will be looking to bring the Cup’s momentum back into the league where they need the three points on the weekend as another slip-up could potentially leave them in the ninth spot and with just a point above their Saturday visitors. A win however, could see them climb back into the top half and they will try and go for that.
Meanwhile Ross County endured a difficult start to the campaign, but have been recently on the upward climbing out of the relegation zone and now sit in the 10th spot with six points above the bottom two but have played one more game than Dundee in the 11th.
They head into the match in a good form as they are unbeaten in their last five matches claiming one win and three draws in the process and are coming off a hard fought 1-1 draw against Livingston with Kayne Ramsey getting the equalizer in the 93rd minute to earn his team a point.
They now head into the match confident of continuing the form as they were able to record a 3-3 win against Rangers while they were also able to overcome relegation rivals Dundee in the five matches and they are fresh as they benefitted from having a weekend off last week having already been knockout of the Scottish Cup.
