Hibernian will welcome Motherwell on Saturday in the continuation of the Scottish Premiership, with both sides having inconsistency in form.
Each of the teams are in the top half of the table, but with only six points difference at the moment, making this fixture a challenging one.
Hibernian’s inconsitent form continued through the past week after they fell from a victory at the weekend to a loss in the midweek.
They defeated St Johnstone, after which they lost to Rangers in the midweek, with a late penalty from Kemar Roofe being the only goal in the game.
Jack Ross will be hoping that his team will immediately bounce back from the loss, and with the qualities that has been seen in the squad, they will be capable of the same.
Through their form and mixed results, they have dropped down to midtable, but with the fact that they have games in hand on all the teams above, they will have confidence of rising.
If Hibernian will be able to take a victory at the weekend, they would reduce the gap between them and Motherwell to just a point, which will proof beneficial with their extra matches coming up.
Motherwell have also been inconsistent recently, something they will hope to recover from and a victory could have been the begining of that.
They bounced back from a 3-0 loss against Dundee and defeated Dundee United 1-0 despite playing 10 men.
Tony Watt scored the only goal of the game and they hanged onto that throughout the game, having played the last ten minutes without Barry Maguire after receiving a red card.
A victory for Motherwell will give them the chance to move to the third position in the league, but the team should be aware of the potential in this particular fixture.
The Seelmen would not forget having lost to Hibernian in their last meeting on the opening day of the season.
