Dundee lost their game at the weekend to Ross County and will be seeking to get back to winning ways on Tuesday when they travel to Hibernian.
Hibernian also did not win on Saturday and will be hoping to go past that in order to start building momentum to the upcoming Scottish League Cup final next Sunday.
The Hibees extended their poor run of form at the weekend when they were held to a 1-1 draw by St Mirren, which means they have now won just once in their past 10 SPL games.
They played without a manager after Jack Ross was sacked, with Josh Campbell giving them the leading goal, but they failed to hold on.
Joe Shaughnessy netted in the 87th minute to stop the hopes of the Hibees getting three points and confrimed they would remain in the bottom half of the table.
Hibernian are just four points adrift Aberdeen who sit 6th, which means a few successive results would let them start putting pressure on those above.
Meanwhile, Dundee also failed in their last travel against Ross County, who are sitting just one place below them in the table.
The Dark Blues are currently just two points ahead of Ross County, with that being the only reason they are out of the relegation zone.
James McPake’s side took the twice through Luke McCowan but an own goal from Danny Mullen brought Ross County level before they were able to win the match later on.
Dundee have been in strong form overall despite the defeat, winning three of their previous six fixtures and a victory at the weekend could have seen them climb up to eighth depending on other results.
They drew in their last encounter with Hibernian, with Paul McGowan scoring in the 83rd minute to help Dundee pick up a 2-2 draw.
