Sevilla will be looking to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the Champions League alive when their host FC Copenhagen at Estadio Ramon on Tuesday.
The hosts are third in Group G, five points behind second-placed Borussia Dortmund, while the visitors are fourth in the section but level on points with their opponents here.
Sevilla face a tough task to qulify for the round of 16, with just two points from four matches leaving them third in the group, and they also face the possibility of missing out on a European League spot.
A victory at least on Tuesday would keep their hopes of qualification alive. However, should Borussia Dortmund win over Manchester City in the later game in the section, it would be impossible for Sevilla to progress to the next round of the competition.
Sevilla head head into the contest off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in La Liga on Saturday, which has left them down in 14th place in La Liga.
FC Copenhagen may be fourth in the group, but it is not impossible for them to make the round of 16 if they manage to win their final two matches.
Third spot in the group is also very much open at this stage, and Copenhagen can take encouragement from the fact that Sevilla have already suffered two huge defeats at home in the Champions League this season.
Jacob Neestrup’s side lost their Group G opener to Dortmund before drawing 0-0 with Sevilla, but they then suffered a 5-0 defeat away to Manchester City.
However, Copenhagen held Manchester City to a goalless draw last time out, which will have given them a huge encouragement ahead of their final two matches in the group, away at Sevilla and home against Borussia Dortmund.
