Genoa and Bologna wrap up their 2021-22 Serie A campaign when they face each other at Luigi Ferraris on Saturday evening with kickoff at 18:45.
Genoa have made a disappointing campaign this season and head into their final Serie A tie having already been relegated following a 3-0 away loss last to Napoli Saturday. The defeat left them three points behind 17th-placed Salernitana with just one game remaining.
However, despite having nothing being on the line on the final day, Genoa head into the game in relatively strong form, after successive home wins against Cagliari and Juventus in recent weeks, which should give them an edge over Bologna who are without a win on their travels in 2022.
Bologna meanwhile also have nothing to play for this season as they already sealed their survival and they are seven points outside the top-half so. They are bound to finish mid table in the bottom half no matter the result.
They will however want to finish the season in a style although they have not been in good form heading into the final day. Since beating Inter Milan 2-1, Bologna have failed to win in their last three, drawing 0-0 with Roma before suffering consecutive defeats to Venezia and Sassuolo.
Bologna have also failed to win at Luigi Ferraris in their last three visits and as such we are tempted to put our money on the hosts.
