Gaziantep vs Fenerbahce Match Analysis and Prediction

Fenerbahce will be looking to build consistency when they face Gaziantep at the Gaziantep stadium in the last fixture of 16^th Super Lig round on Monday night with kickoff at 20:30.

Gaziantep have made a slow and disappointing campaign this season with the club claiming just three wins from 15 league matches while have picked five draws and eight defeats in the process and currently sit just a place and four points above the relegation zone in 16^th on 18 points.

They head into the match in an average form having won three and lost three of their last six matches and are coming off their fourth away defeat in a row following a 2-1 loss to Goztepe on Monday. However, Gaziantep are in a brilliant home form and are among the three sides that are yet to taste defeat on home turf this season. Gaziantep have claimed six wins and two draws at home and have won all their last three home matches.

Erol Bulut’s side will therefore confident of adding another positive result in front of their fans on Monday and they need a win if they are to increase the gap between them and the relegation zone.

Meanwhile Fenerbahce have made a strong campaign this season having won eight, drawn three and lost four of their 15 league matches collecting 27 points which have them sitting in the fifth spot with just three points behind the second-placed Konyaspor.

They head into the match in a good form having lost just one of their last six matches across all competitions picking up two wins and three draws in the run. They are coming off a 1-1 draw against Frankfurt in their final Europa League group-stage clash on Thursday.

Prior to the Europa draw Fenerbahce were coming off an emphatic 4-0 victory over Rizerspor in their last Super Lig fixture. The win saw Vitor Pereira’s side register their fourth match without defeat on the bounce, claiming two wins in the run. However, the visitors have been inconsistent in the recent weeks and the last time the side put together a string of wins in Super Lig was back in September and therefore they will be hoping to build some consistency in this match.

Also, with Besiktas coming in the next fixture Fenerbahce will be keen to set the tone for the derby with an impressive display in this one.
