Galatasaray play host to relegated Yeni Malatyaspor on Monday as they will be looking to bounce back from the 2-0 loss they suffered in the international derby.
The hosts enter the fixture in a disappointing 15th position, while Yeni Malatyaspor are at the bottom of the Turkish Super Lig table.
Galatasaray will be glad to see the end of the season after enduring a torrid domestic campaign, which has seen them spend part of the season playing around the relegation zone.
Although any fears of finishing in the bottom four have been reduced, with Galatasaray 11 points clear of danger, they still languish in 15th place.
Their recent form has been mixed with their last six matches resulting in three victories and three defeats, with the most recent of those losses coming last weekend, when they lost 2-0 to their rivals Fenerbahce.
With seemingly little to play for following an underwhelming campaign, Domenec Torrent’s side will be hoping to avoid their lowest ever Turkish Super Lig finish with their current worst-ever season being an 11th-place finish in the 1981-82 campaign.
Meanwhile, Yeni Malatyaspor are already relegated, with Monday’s visitors sitting bottom of the league table boasting just 20 points after 32 matches.
If they are to pick up at least a point on Monday they will need to find an improvement in performance after losing their last four matches, including a 1-0 defeat to Giresunspor last weekend.
That result confirmed their relegation from the Turkish Super Lig, while it also prolonged a poor run of form that has seen them win one of their last 22 league matches.
Yeni Malatyaspor can take inspiration from the point they took from Galatasaray in the reverse fixture, with the two sides playing out a goalless draw on that occasion back on November 28.
