France U19 take on Israel U19 in the second semi-final of the UEFA European inder-19 Championship at the DAC Stadion in Dunajska Streda Slovakia, on Tuesday night with kickoff at 21:00 EAT.
Finish top of Group A with nine points from three games, to book a place in the semifinals of the competition. They opened with thumping 5-0 win over Slovakia, before seeing out Romania with a 2-1 win in the second match.
Landry Chauvin’s side then closed the group run with a 4-1 win over Italy, who finished second in the group, five points behind France. Les Bleuets have now won eight of their last nine matches across all competitions, and head into the match off a four-match winning streak.
They will now be looking to extend the ran as they look to book a place in the final of the competition, and having gone unbeaten in their last three meetings against Israel, France should be confident of making it to Trnava.
Meanwhile young Israelites managed to book a place in the semi-finals after finishing second in Group B on four points, five points behind England. Israel opened their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Serbia, before claiming a 4-2 victory over Austria. They then closed the group on a low not as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to England.
They have now lost just one of their last six matches across all competitions, picking up three victories in the run and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways here as they seek to book a place in the final of the competition.
They meet France though, who are among the favorites to claim the title and will need to be at their absolute best to cause an upset on Tuesday.
