Both Fiorentina and Verona will be looking to bounce back to winning ways on Serie A when they face off at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday.
Both sides have made poor starts to the new Serie A campaign with both winning just one of their opening six matches. Fiorentina have picked up three draws and two defeats in the process, while Verona have drawn two and lost three in the process.
Now Fiorentina sit 11th in the league standing on six points and are coming off a 2-1 defeat to Bologna at away. They have now failed to win their last five league matches, while are winless in eight across all competitions with 3-0 to Basaksehir in the Europa Conference League being their latest setback.
They will therefore look to return to winning ways as they seek their second victory this season. They are unbeaten against Verona in their last three Serie A encounters and they will hope to draw confidence from that run.
Verona, meanwhile sit 15th in the league standings on five points from six matches and are just three points above relegation zone. They are coming off a 2-0 away defeat to Lazio in their previous league fixture and they will be keen to bounce back on Sunday as they look to avoid an early relegation tussle.
