Gameweek six of the 2022-23 Eredivisie season will come to an end with the Rotterdam derby between Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam at De Kuip on Sunday.
These two teams were both victorious in their last league fixtures and will head into this weekend’s contest in Rotterdam with the wind on their sails.
Feyenoord kicked off their Europa League group-stage campaign with a disappointing 4-2 defeat at the hands of Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday.
De Stadionclub found themselves trailing by four goals through first-half goals from Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson and a Matias Vecino brace, before a second-half double from Santiago Gimenez halved the deficit.

Meanwhile, Sparta Rotterdam claimed back-to-back victories for the first time this season following a 4-0 win over FC Volendam at the Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel on Saturday.
De Kasteelheren took the lead through Vito van Crooy in the 14th minute before a second-half brace from Tobias Lauritsen and Sven Mijnans’ goal sealed the victory.
With seven points from a possible 15, Sparta Rotterdam have moved up to seventh place in the league standings and now aim to continue their surge up the table.
Off the back of six wins and a draw in their last seven matches away from home, Steijn’s side will be looking to continue their upturn in form on the road.
