Boavista will make a trip to the Estadio Municipal de Famalicao on Sunday to face Famalicao, with just one point and one place separating the two.
Famalicao will feel disappointed not to have come away with all the three points two Fridays ago when they were held to a late 1-1 draw by Vizela.
In a tough match at the Estadio do FC Vizela, Bruno Rodrigues’ goal in the 24th minute put Famalicao on course for all three points but Cassiano netted in the 91st minute to restore parity and force a share of the spoils.
The Vila Nova have now failed to win any of their last three matches, picking up two draws and losing 2-1 at Vitoria de Guimaraes since seeing their three-game winning run come to an end.
However, Famalicao will be satisfied with their recent form at home where they are unbeaten this year, recording thre wins and three draws since losing on penalties to Portimonense in the quarter-finals of the Taca de Portugal back in December.
Rui Silva’s side have won six, drawn 10 and lost 11 of their 27 matches this season to collect 28 points and sit 12th in the Primeira Liga standings, one spot above Saturday’s opponents.
Meanwhile, Boavista saw their unbeaten run come to an end last time out when they were defeated 1-0 by Porto at the Estadio do Bessa.
Prior to that, Panteras were on a six-game unbeaten streak, picking up five wins and one draw since a 2-1 defeat against Santa Clara on February 1.
While Petit’s side will be looking to return to winning ways and leapfrog the hosts in the table, they will be aware that they have managed just one win on the road this season and picked up nine points from an available 39.

Famalicao news
Famalicao will have to do without Pedro Brazao as he remains on suspension, while defender Alex is set to sit his fourth consecutive game.
Ivan Jamie has been sidelined since picking up a back problem in January, while Ivo Rodrigues, Diogo Figueira, Ruben Lima and David Tavares will all miss out.
Boavista news
Boavista will be without midfielder Yanis Hamache, who sustained a muscle injury in the game against Belenenses on March 12.
He is joined on the injury table by Miguel Reisinho, who has been sidelined since last August through a severe knee injury, while Yusupha Njie and Javi Garcia are major doubts.
Prediction and Odds
With very little separating the two sides in the standings, they are sure to take the game to each other and we expect a tightly-fought contest.
However, Famalicao enter the contest in a stronger form and considering their recent performances at home, we back them to come away with a victory.
