The defeat did not just end their brilliant run in the Premier League, as they had recorded 14 wins and a draws since last tasting a defeat but it was also a massive setback for City’s bid in the title race as they now sit just three points above the rampant Liverpool.
The Merseysiders are currently on a roll and are unlikely to drop points anytime soon and thus Citizens cannot afford another slip-up and will need maximum points to keep Liverpool at bay.
Man City will fancy their chance of bouncing back on Saturday as they boast a dominant record over the Toffees and they are in a good away form boasting a 12-game unbeaten league run on the road, claiming 10 victories and two draws.
