Both Empoli and Juventus will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they lock horns in the 27th round of Serie A at Carlo Castellani on Saturday night with kickoff at 20:05.
Empoli made a fine start t life back in the top-flight, with the club spending most of the first half of the season in the top-half and around the middle of the table. Meanwhile Juventus have recently been slowed down by draws just like majority of the sides in the Serie A and are coming off a 1-1 draw against Torino at home last weekend, marking their third draw in their last four league matches.
However, they are still unbeaten since losing 2-1 to Inter Milan in the in Super Cup final on New Year’s Eve, meaning that they boast a run of eight matches with a defeat, claiming four wins and four draws in the run.
The Old Lady still sit in fourth on 47 points from 26 matches and are just seven points behind both second-placed Inter Milan and third-placed Napoli while are now nine points off the summit of the table. Thus, Juve will be looking to turn their draws into victories as soon as possible as they aim at putting more pressure on the teams above them.
Also they visit Fiorentina for the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final next week and without doubt, Massimiliano Allegri will demand that they travel to Florence with three points added to their tally as a confidence booster.
