Ecuador vs Brazil Match Analysis and Prediction

Both Ecuador and Brazil will be looking to extend their unbeaten runs in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers when they lock horns at the Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado on Friday with kickoff at 00:00.

Ecuador have made a strong campaign in this year’s World Cup qualifiers with the team claiming seven wins, two draws and five defeats from their 14 matches to collect 23 points, which have left them sitting in the third spot with six points behind the second placed Argentina who have played one match less and six above the fourth-paced Colombia.

They head into the match in a good form having lost none of their last five matches across all competitions claiming three wins and two draws in the run and are coming of a 1-1 draw against El Salvador in an international friendly back in December.  They did well to earn a 2-0 win against Chile in their last qualifying fixture and they will be looking to build on that as they aim for an upset here.

Gustavo Alfaro’s team is in also good home form having claimed three wins and a draw from their last four matches in Quito. That run has been driven by a solid defence that has kept clean sheets in all four matches.

Meanwhile Brazil have had an impressive World Cup qualifying campaign with the side dominating the continent as they are yet to lose any of their 13 qualifying matches, picking up 11 victories and two draws in the process. They currently sit top of the table with 35 points six above the second-placed Argentina.

They head into the match in high spirits having lost none of their last seven qualifying matches, claiming five wins and two draws in the run and are coming off a 0-0 draw against their closer rivals Argentina. They will be looking to maintain the momentum as they look at finishing the qualification campaign with a perfect record.

Tite’s side will fancy their chances as they are in a good away form having lost none of their last 23 away matches and they haven’t lost Ecuador in their last 11 encounters claiming eight wins and three draws.
