Red Bull Salzburg make a trip to Croatia to take on Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday looking to strengthen their position at the top of the Champions League Group E.

However, while the vistors are currently on course to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages, bottom-placed Dinamo Zagreb can leapfrog them in the table with a victory in midweek.

Heading into the contest, Dinamo Zagreb will be feeling some disappointment that they have failed to builed on their opening-matchday victory over Chelsea.

However, with the visitors just two points adrift of first place in the section an two home games still to play, Ante Cacic will not be too disheartened.

Clean sheets have been few and far betwen this season, but Dinamo Zagreb have picked up 31 points from a possible 33 in Croatia’s top flight, scoring 34 goals in the process.

Although that form is yet to be transferred to European action, Cacic’s cide will always be a threat as long as Mislav Orsic, who has scored both of their goals in the group stages, is in the starting lineup.

Having been drawn against the likes of Chelsea and AC Milan, Salzburg would have relished the challenges ahead of them, yet they remained realistic about their chances of qualification.

Off the back of draws with the two European giants, Matthias Jaissle’s side saw off Dinamo Zagreb by a 1-0 scoreline last week, with Noah Okafor scoring for the third European game in succession.

However, Die Roten Bullen are not overly reliant on the attacker, with their defensive effort also deserving praise with just two goals being conceded so far.

Salzburg have now gone unbeaten for 16 games across all competitions, while they boast a five-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga standings, ahead of fellow title contenders Sturm Graz.
