Crystal Palace will be looking to put an end to their fourth-match winless run when they welcome Everton to Selhurst Park for a crucial Premier League fixture on Sunday evening with kickoff at 19:30.
Crystal Palace made an impressive and encouraging start to Patrick Viera’s era but have been on a drop in the recent weeks as the Eagles have only managed two wins from their last 11 matches and their last success came on November 6 when they overcame Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Since the Viera’s side have not won any match drawing 3-3 at Burnley first before losing three on the trot to Aston Villa 1-2, Leeds 1-0 and Manchester United 1-0. The run has seen them drop to the bottom half where they sit in the 14th spot on 16 points, with just six points above the relegation zone.
Therefore, the capital club will be looking to put an end to their slump with a positive result in the Sunday’s as they aim at moving into the top half of the table.
Everton did well to put an end to their nosedive down the Premier League table when they claimed a dramatic 2-1 win over Arsenal at Goodson Park on Monday night. The win was their first success in nine league matches and sure was crucial for Rafa Benitez who was under immense pressure. The Blues now occupy the 13th spot with 18 points collected from their 15 matches and are just two points above their hosts and also just two outside the top half.
Benitez will now be hoping that the win will serve a springboard for a fine form as they aim at moving back into the top half of the table.
