Burnley will be looking to maintain their recent resurgence in the Premier League when travel back to London this weekend to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening with kickoff at 18:00.
Burnley appear to be in full survival mode after claiming back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time this season. The Clarets stunned Tottenham Hotspur in their midweek fixture claiming 1-0 victory thanks to Ben Mee header in the 71st minute and Sean Dyche will be delighted with the win as it was a vintage Burnley performance and organization.
The victory followed the impressive 3-0 victory over Brighton at away last weekend with the new talisman Wout Weghorst displaying his class in the match. The wins have seen Sean Dyche’s side climb off the foot of the table and are now just two points adrift of safety with a at least a game in hand on the sides around them.
Burnley’s away form still needs some improvement but they will be looking to build on the win at Brighton and will draw confidence from their recent form against Palace having gone unbeaten in their last four meetings claiming three wins and a draw in the run.
Meanwhile Crystal Palace returned to winning ways in an emphatic way as they eased to 4-1 victory over Watford at away last Wednesday night, with Wilfred Zaha scoring a brace in late stages of the game to add to the earlier efforts from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Connor Gallagherthat had put them in control of the clash.
Prior to the victory, the Eagles were on six-match winless run in the top-flight, picking up three draws while suffering three defeats as well in the run.
Crystal current sit in the 11th spot with 29 points from 26 matches and will be looking to build on the win against Watford as they aim at keeping their status in the table as well as breaking into the top-half of the table. They will however need to improve their home performances having claimed just win in their last seven matches at Selhurst Park.
