Croatia will be looking to bounce back from their opening Euro 2020 defeat to England when they lock horns with group leaders Czech Republic in their second Euro 2020 matchday on Friday at Hampden Park with kickoff at 19:00.
Croatia suffered a stinging 1-0 defeat to England who had never won their opening European Championship fixtures before the Croats paid them a visit at Wembley last Sunday. The Croats are currently in a not so convincing form as they come into the match off the back of two defeats and have only managed to win two games of their previous six matches.
Zlatko Dalic’s men have been struggling to keep and maintain their reputation as world cup finalists and runner’s up in Russia three years ago and have a point to prove as they aim to make their transition a success this year. The 1-0 defeat to Gareth Southgate’s men left Croatia in the third position in the group with two games remaining hence they will need to be at their best in the Friday’s clash to increase their chances of advancing to the knockouts.
Czech Republic on the other hand stunned Scotland in front of their own fans at Hampden Park in their first fixture of Euro 2020. Silhavy’s side are currently on top of their group D standings thanks to the 0-2 win against Scotland with goals from Patrik Schick who headed his team ahead in the 42nd minute and proceeded to unleash an outrageous effort from 50 yard in the second half.
The Czechs are currently in an above average form and head into match full of confidence to achieve a similar result in this match as hey did in their opener.
