Cremonese will still be searching for their first Serie A win when they welcome Lazio to Stadio Giovanni Zini for their Matchday Eight tie on Sunday.
Newly-promoted Cremonese have had a difficult start to the life back in Serie A as they still remain winless after six fixtures. They currently sit in the relegation zone, level on two points with 19th-placed Sampdoria and one above rock-bottom Monza.
Their target this season is to retain top flight status, but they need to start claiming maximum points if they are to increase their survival chances. They are coming off consecutive draws against Sassuolo (0-0) and Atalanta (1-1) and will hope that that their new-found defensive resilience will pay off on Sunday.
Lazio meanwhile, have not really hit their stride this season, but they still have made a decent start to the campaign, claiming three victories, two draws and one defeat in their six matches. They currently sit seventh on 11 points in the league standings but with just three points off the summit of the table.
Therefore three points this weekend could leave Lazio close to the top of the table and thus we expect them to go in all guns blazing. They however have a lot to amend as they are coming off a 5-1 defeat at FC Midtjylland in the Europa Conference League.
