Cork City will be hoping to leap into the top spot of the Ireland First Division table when they face a struggling Cobh Ramblers in their Matchday 21 tie on Friday night.

Cobh Ramblers have had a difficult time in the Ireland First Division this season, with the side managing to win just two of their 18 league games so far, while have picked up three draws and suffered 13 defeats in the run.

They suffered their 13 defeat last time out as they went down 3-0 at home to Wexford last week Friday. Ramblers have now failed to win any of their last eight league matches, suffering six loses in the run and they head into the match off a three-match losing streak.

Now, with nine points Cobh Ramblers sit eighth in the league standings just a place and four points off Athlone Town at the bottom of the table. Ramblers now will be desperate to end their poor run as they seek to climb away from the bottom, although they have already fallen to Cork City twice this season and will take a miracle to beat them on Friday.
