Charlton will be looking to end their three-match losing streak in League One when they welcome MK Dons to The Valley for an important league fixture on Tuesday night with kickoff at 22:45.
Charlton put up an impressive campaign last season with the club only missing out on the playoffs through goal difference, but the Addicks have failed to replicate the campaign this term. They have made an inconsistent campaign this season claiming 39 points from their 32 matches and currently sit 16th with nine points above the relegation zone.
Their inconsistency continued last time out as they fell to humiliating 4-0 defeat to Oxford at home last Saturday. The defeat marked their third consecutive defeat in the division, which ended their three match winning streak.
They will now be looking to bounce to winning ways as they aim at increasing the gap between themselves and the drop zone and will need to find inspiration from somewhere to claim three points as difficult games continue to arrive. After a clash with MK Dons the Addicks face Sheffield Wed and Sunderland in their next two League One encounters and thus a win in this match will be massive confidence booster.
Meanwhile MK Dons made an inconsistent campaign in the third tie last season finishing 13th; however the Dons have made an impressive campaign this season and seem to be seeking a direct-promotion this season as they have won 17, draws nine and lost seven of their 33 League One matches claiming 60 points which left hem sitting in the third spot three points behind second placed Wigan who have played three matches less.
They are crucially five points above the seventh-placed Sunderland in the race for a playoff spot and will need to continue their recent impressive run as they aim at maintaining their status in the rankings and staying close to the top-two.
Liam Manning’s side will fancy their chance of coming away with all three points following their recent impressive form that has them claim four wins from their last six matches including the hard-fought 2-1 victory in their previous league match over Sunderland at away last Saturday.
