Celtic and Blackburn Rovers continue their pre-season campaign when they lock horns at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.
Celtic have already played three pre-season friendlies going unbeaten in three, winning two against Wiener Viktoria and Banik Ostrava and drawing one with Rapid Wien. They will be looking to continue their successful pre-season when they take on Blackburn, Legia Warszawa and Norwich in their remaining friendlies this summer.
They are building towards their opening Premiership encounter against Aberdeen later this month, where they will be hope for a positive start to their league title defence. Celtic won the Scotland Premiership, beating their close rivals Rangers to the title by four points, and will be looking to retain their glory in the 2022/23 campaign.
Meanwhile Blackburn have been involved in two pre-season matches, where they were beaten 1-0 by Accrington Stanley in the opening friendly before holding Dundee FC to a 1-1 draw last Wednesday.
Blackburn will now be looking to turn their fortunes around in the pre-season when they take on Celtic, Hartlepool United and Lincoln City in their next friendlies so that they can build a good form before opening their 2022/23 EFL Championship campaign later this month.
