Cardiff will be looking to turn around their poor form when they lock horns with Middlesbrough on Championship matchday 14 at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday with kickoff at 14:30.

Things have been horrible for Cardiff City who once again are coming off a defeat having been beaten 2-0 by Fulham in their Championship midweek fixture and as usual City struggled to match up to the opposition and ended the match with just two attempts on target.

The defeat marked their seventh straight Championship loss and the ninth in their last 10 matches and have only managed to pick up three wins and two draws in their 13 Championship fixtures this season and their steady defeats have obviously resulted to steady decline down the table and currently just sit a spot and two points above the relegation zone with 11 points.

Despite having the home advantage on Saturday, Mick McCarthy’s side look to be set for another defeat as they have lost all their last five home matches in a row and this is no exception.

Meanwhile Middlesbrough made a slow start to their campaign having just won two of their opening eight matches picking up three draws while suffered three defeats. However, Middlesbrough have been on upward form as they have just lost one of their last four Championship fixtures and this recent good form has seen them climb into the 10^th spot and are just three points from the playoff spots.

Neil Warnock’s side’s defence has been at the heart of their recent form improvement as they have kept three clean sheets in their last four matches and Neil will be hoping that his side can keep the momentum going.
