Rotherham United will look to strengthen their direct promotion place in League One when they visit Pirelli Stadium to square off against Burton Albion in their Matchday 44 tie on Tuesday night with kickoff at 21:45.
Burton have a good job of staying out of the relegation battle throughout of the season and they currently sit 12 points above the drop zone with only three matches remaining. That means that Burton have already secured League One survival and are fighting to finish the season in the upper mid-table places as they are just seven points behind 12th-placed Cambridge United.
However Burton have run in trouble with their form recently as they have only managed to claim one victory from their last 11 League One matches and have gone winless in their last five league matches, recording two defeats and three draws. With now just three matches remaining, Rotherham will know that they have lots of work to do to seal their promotion and thus will be desperate to build on the weekend’s victory.
Rotherham have won their last three League One games against Burton including the 3-1 victory at home in the reverse fixture earlier this season and they should be confident of maintaining the run here.
